About

I moved to San Luis Obispo from the Bay Area with my family when I was 13. After graduating from San Luis Obispo High School, I went on to earn a BA in English from Chico State and then another BA from Humboldt State in Journalism/Public Relations.

After returning to the Central Coast in 2005, I married my husband Adam, and we settled in Los Osos where we are currently raising our three sons.

At the age of 42, I was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). While this was a shocking revelation about myself in the moment, the more I learned about ADHD the more it made sense to me. I also realized that I had unknowingly developed some incredible coping skills including becoming hyper organized.

I spent nearly 20 years working in the nonprofit sector as a leader, community collaborator, and board member. Specifically, I worked tirelessly on behalf of community mental health and non-medical volunteer hospice and grief support for the residents of SLO County. Throughout my career, community and collaboration have always been top of mind. I believe in connecting people and organizations to one another when it seems like they have a common goal, or project, or would benefit from collaboration.

In early 2026, I took a step back from my career trajectory to follow my heart and personal passion of organizing. This decision wasn’t spontaneous and it wasn’t reactive, but I had come to realize that I needed to step back, realign, and rebuild both personally and professionally. I had built a daily grind that was depleting my energy and robbing me of my joy.

And organizing brings me joy, but I understand that it does not come naturally for many people. Organizing skills can be learned, and I would love the opportunity to share the tools, strategies, and systems that I have acquired to help others who are struggling.
